| USEL job broking service celebrates first anniversary > |

| USEL’s Job Broking Service is celebrating its 1st anniversary. USEL is the largest employer of disabled people within Northern Ireland and works to obtain paid employment for disabled people and people with health related difficulties. To date the Job Broking service, which covers 22 District Council areas in Northern Ireland, has assisted over 400 people explore their employment options and has been successful in obtaining paid work for over 60 individuals. Others have chosen to take up voluntary work, training or work experience.

USEL’s Job Broking team are totally committed to working with individuals and employers to ensure both sets of needs are accommodated – with very successful outcomes for all! Employers have gained very valuable employees and individuals have been provided with opportunities to personally develop and have financial independence"
Eamon Donegan was unemployed for 5 years before seeking assistance from USEL to help him find work. Eamon had re-entered education and gained qualifications in the ICT field. Deborah Truesdale, one of USEL’s Job Broking team, said, "Eamon’s determination, energy and sense of humour assisted her to find the right job match for him". He is now working as an ICT tutor for a local trade union organisation. Eamon said, "The service provided by USEL was great. I am now in a job that I love and I’ve made great friends with the USEL team and wish them every success in the work that they do".
